Our operations are guided by Sanoma's Corporate Governance Framework, ethical guidelines for employees and subcontractors, and topic-specific policies and standards. We are committed to complying with the legislation of every country in which we operate, and we expect the same from our partners. In addition to legislation, we comply with our sustainability principles, which are included in our policies.
Sanoma's Code of Conduct defines common ethical practices for all Sanoma employees. Sanoma's Sustainability and Human Rights Policy defines Sanoma's sustainability process and responsibilities.
Sanoma also expects its subcontractors to commit to an ethical and responsible way of working and to comply with the Supplier Code of Conduct when dealing with Sanoma.

We actively develop our policies
The Board of Directors approves new policies and amendments to existing policies. The President and CEO approves Sanoma's standards. Each policy and standard has a specified owner in the organisation. Once a year, or more frequently if needed, policy owners submit necessary updates or new policies to the Board for the President and CEO for approval. The policies and standars are applicable to all employees and subsidiaries of Sanoma Group.
We train our people in ethics
Our employees are required to apply the Code of Conduct and all policies in full in their day-to-day conduct and business decisions. To ensure compliance, our people are trained through a compulsory Code of Conduct e-learning and different policy e-learnings. In 2024, 97 % if our employees completed our annual Code of Conduct e-learning. In the newly acquired companies, the e-learnings take place within 3–6 months after the acquisition is completed.
We require our suppliers to commit to responsible business practices
We expect our suppliers to commit to similar ethical and responsible business conduct as our employees. The Sanoma Supplier Code of Conduct sets out the ethical standards and responsible business principles suppliers are required to comply with. Suppliers are expected to apply these standards and principles also to their employees, affiliates and sub-contractors.
